The ateliers
Hands, hours, matter.
Three ateliers, twenty-two artisans, no machine the hand does not watch. A VOLTA coat crosses eighty hours of bench work before it meets a hanger. You hear scissors, chalk, and almost nothing else.

Every artisan signs the inside of what they finish. A piece has authors, not an assembly line.

The hours
The house does not promise a date. It promises nothing leaves the bench before it is beyond reproach.

The matter
Cloths are reserved years ahead, from spinners who work on their word alone.
Private clients
By appointment. Only.
There is no VOLTA boutique. There are salons, in three cities, where you are received alone, at the hour you choose. Fittings happen in silence, over tea, with no flattering mirror and no salesperson.
Each salon receives four clients a day. Never more.
The edition
WHEN IT ISGONE,it is gone.
The house could recut, reproduce, extend. It does not. An edition of thirty means thirty — and the certainty, passing someone in the street, that you will never be wearing the same thing.
