Philosophy
Silence, light, proportion.
A right wall needs no explanation. It stands there, it receives the morning light, and it keeps quiet. Our whole architecture fits inside that restraint: remove until nothing is missing.
We draw first what will never be seen — the orientation, the thickness, the path of the sun in December. Ornament will come from the light, or it will not come.
Process
Three stages. No shortcuts.
Sketch
Months of hand drawings before the first image. We search for the right proportion the way one tunes an instrument — by ear, slowly, without an audience.
Material
Every material is chosen at the quarry, the sawmill, the kiln. We specify nothing we have not held in our hands.
Site
A partner on site every week, down to the last door handle. Construction is not the execution of the project: it is the end of the drawing.
Commission
WE BUILDFIVE TIMES A YEAR.the rest is refusal.
